Signia: Company Overview
Signia is the newest brand from Sivantos Group, the parent company to many leading hearing aid manufacturers, most notably, Siemens. Sivantos Group says, “With Signia, we want to create a brand that is more human and personal, while building on the Siemens values of technological innovation and quality.” Signia builds upon the successes of platforms introduced by Siemens, such as micon and binax, both of which provide hearing aid wearers with ease and clarity.
Influenced by the binax platform (which is the world’s first to outperform normal hearing in challenging noise situations), the Signia primax platform has been proven in independent studies to reduce listening effort throughout the day. Launched in 2015, Signia is off to a great start, as the most advanced brand to date from Sivantos Group.
The primax is Signia’s debut model, a premium, digital hearing aid that offers a binaural processing platform. Signia primax has been found to reduce listening effort throughout the day, with four key features: SpeechMaster, EchoShield, HD Music, and TwinPhone.
Signia primax is available as a receiver-in-canal, behind-the-ear, or in-the-ear hearing aid. Primax is available in three different technology levels: 7px, 5px, and 3px. Signia primax also offers tinnitus therapy with synthetic sounds. For people with single-sided hearing loss, primax is available with a CROS Pure transmitter.
SpeechMaster addresses the issue of speech recognition that people face with hearing loss. Speech recognition becomes difficult, especially in noisy situations. Many people with hearing loss will say that while they can hear, they find it difficult to understand. SpeechMaster combines three technologies to make listening easier: noise reduction, directionality, and steering amplification.
EchoShield helps to protect sounds in acoustically challenging environments, such as hallways, places of worships, and atriums. In these spaces, reverberation could make listening an unpleasant experience. EchoShield softens these sounds, reducing the sharp pangs and providing a more comfortable listening experience.
HD Music address the issue of music listening that has often been overlooked by other hearing aids. For music lovers, most hearing aids do not offer a music-listening feature, which makes enjoying your favorite tunes difficult. HD Music runs on at an incredibly fast speed, with flexibility to balance and analyze different sound frequencies, mixing them for optimal music enjoyment.
TwinPhone offers wireless connectivity in conjunction with the EasyTek app. With Bluetooth, TwinPhone ensures that your primax hearing aids are able to stream conversations, music, and other media with ease.
Cellion primax is a member of the Signia primax family, providing better than normal hearing in challenging situations and clinically-proven reduced listening effort in one. Cellion is also one of the world’s first lithium-ion, inductive charging hearing aids, an exciting new development for the hearing industry.
According to Signia, “Cellion’s power management is breathtaking, unrivaled by any other hearing aid. Regardless of the hearing loss treated, it can run for at least 24 hours with unlimited streaming.” Cellion’s 24-hour listening requires a quick 4-hour charge, while those on the run can experience 7-hours of listening with a single 30-minute charge.
“Cellion’s power management is breathtaking, unrivaled by any other hearing aid. Regardless of the hearing loss treated, it can run for at least 24 hours with unlimited streaming.”
Cellion’s lithium-ion technology enables this level of long-lasting power. Hearing aid wearers have called for sustainable energy options, and Cellion answers this call. Cellion primax batteries last several years, which reduces waste and is convenient for hearing aid wearers. Additionally, a USB-charging option allows wearers the ability to charge almost anywhere, never leaving them stranded again with dead hearing aid batteries.
Cellion primax hearing aids incorporate all of the key features of the original primax, such as SpeechMaster, EchoShield, HD Music, and TwinPhone. Cellion primax is a receiver-in-canal hearing aid, slightly larger than the Pure primax. It treats all degrees of hearing loss and is fully customizable.
As a CIC hearing aid, Signia Silk is nearly invisible. With the flexible and comfortable silicone sleeves, wearers will forget they even have hearing aids in their ears! Built on the primax platform, Signia Silk hearing aids provide the same excellent listening features found in the original primax as well as the Cellion. SpeechMaster, EchoShield, and reduced listening effort throughout the day are guaranteed with Signia Silk.
Signia Silk is extremely easy to use and convenient for this new to hearing aids. With a color code system (blue for the left ear, red for the right), Silk continues the trend of the Signia primax family to provide groundbreaking technology that is consumer-friendly, sustainable, and accessible.
Signia Silk utilizes an innovative new technology called Click Sleeves, which is crafted of silicone. Available in six different varities, Click Sleeves “click” into completely-in-canal Signia primax hearing aids and are compatible with most ear canals. As a ready-to-wear hearing aid, Signia Silk is the first of its kind, catering especially to first-time hearing aid wearers. With immediate access to clear, unfettered sound, Signia Silk allows people to experience the wonders and accessibility with hearing aids.
